Single travellers are welcome onboard every ship. At the start of each cruise the crew tends to invite all single travellers, which gives them the opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Are there single cabins onboard the ships?
All cabins onboard can acommodate at least two people. It is, however, possible to book a cabin for single use. Please consider that a single supplement may be added.
How much does the single supplement cost?
The price of the supplement is different depending on the cruise, cruising company, ship etc. You can find the prices in the currently valid catalogue of the cruising company or can get the information from our Cruisopolis travel agents. Please understand that only a limited allocation of the available cabins can be sold for single travellers.
Is there a possibility to send greetings or cabin presents?
Before the start of the cruise, you have the possibility to order cabin presents not only for yourself but also for your relatives and friends from most cruising companies. Choose a present and add a peronalised greeting card. You are welcoming to discuss your wishes with our Cruisopolis travel agents. Onboard you can order the cabin presents at the reception desk.
Out hint for Spa & Sport presents: If you choose a Spa & Sport cabin present, use a date which is at least 3 days from the last day of the cruise. Otherwise, there can be problems to acquire an appointment and redeeming the cabin preset cannot be assured anymore.
I want to book land excursions and extra services in advance? How does this work?
You can book land excursions, Wellness treatments, a newspaper service, kids club workshops, tables at a speciality restaurant etc. with most cruising companies already in advance of the cruise. They give you the possibility to do so through their website. We especially recommend you to book land excursions and speciality restaurants in advance.
When do I have to pay for the excursions booked online?
All of the booked services online will be charged automatically on your board account or will be charged in advance on your credit card (depending on the cruising company)
Can I still cancel or change any booked services?
The reservation and cancelation deadlines differ depending on the service and cruising company. You can receive more information regarding this from our travel agents at Cruisopolis.
Tender ports and berth:
Is the berth of the ships always in the city centre or closeby?
In some cities the port can be located on the outside of the city centre. In this case, most cruising companies offer a shuttle bus service (most of the time for a fee) from the port to the city centre. You will get more detailed information about the ports where a shuttle bus service is offered onboard. Please consider that the berth can change at any moment. That is why we cannot give any binding information about the distance with berth and city centre.
Tender ports and berth:
Why is it sometimes necessary to use tender boats?
The local conditions may make it necessary for ships to berth outside of the port. Tender ports are marked in our itineraries with an ancher icon. Please consider that even other ports can become tender ports depending on the local port authorities. The cruising companies cannot influence that. In those cases tender boats transport the people between ship and land. Guest with a wheelchair, blind people with less than 20% of the normal sight are not allowed to be transported on tender boats due to security reasons. Excepted from this rule are guest who are use wheelchairs only on a temporary basis and are able to get in and out of the boat on their own.
